- Economic Residency: The quickest way to get a Bahamian residency is with the economic residency. It lasts 1 year and can be renewed for 2 years every 2 years. The candidate has to show proof of domicile (leased or owned) and financial autonomy. The application process takes 1 to 3 months.

- Permanent Residency: As its name suggests, the permanent residency is for life. This is a very popular option and there is a fast track procedure for candidates who buy a property of USD 1.5M+. This procedure takes 3 to 6 months.
